Starting a new Project in #GrowingAliveExperience Cycle

Starting a new Project in #GrowingAliveExperience Cycle

Dear Friends and Like-minded People,

Do you remember that last school year we piloted an educational-practical program for growing seedlings from seeds together with the students of Malkoch Gymnasium?

We are pleased to inform you that we are launching a new cycle of the #GrowingAliveExperience program. This time, with the support of the Embassy of Sweden and EcoContact, we are expanding the program to 4 schools: 2 from the Right Bank + 2 from the Left Bank of the Dniester.

The #GrowingAliveExperience program is an internal, interdisciplinary project in each school, involving practical activities with elements from various subjects: Biology-Botany, Natural Science, Geography, Handicrafts, Native and Foreign Languages, Drawing-Visual Arts...

The goal of the program is to guide students through a personal, living experience of growing trees from seeds into a mature grove. Every operation is performed by the children themselves! Through these activities, students gain a personal, living connection with Nature, as well as an understanding of the importance of forests and the need to protect them.

This year, forest walks and nursery work are joined by a written essay or visual art project competition.
