Moldovan Forests Festival - 14 September 2024

On September 14, 2024, at the Presidential Residence in Condrița, the Forest Festival will take place – an outdoor event that promises a day full of exciting activities and interactive exhibitions. Guests will be able to participate in thematic exhibitions, fun workshops, relaxation and entertainment areas, outdoor walks, fairs, and live concerts.

The festival's program aligns fully with the theme of the event and addresses important topics such as forest protection, water bodies, air, climate change, biodiversity, energy efficiency, rational use of resources, waste management, and much more.

The main goal of the festival is to bring together people who care about the environment, to inform, inspire, and celebrate the beauty and richness that forests offer us. Participation is free, but those interested can contribute to seedling planting by purchasing special tickets.

One of the main themes of the festival is containerized seedlings cultivation. ARBORETUM is also preparing its own stand, and we would be delighted to see you among the festival's guests. Detailed information about the program, transportation, and location will be available on the event's Facebook page.

The Forest Festival is part of the National Forest Restoration Program, initiated in 2023 under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu. It is the largest initiative of its kind in the country's history, aiming to reforest approximately 150,000 hectares over the next 10 years. Government institutions, non-governmental organizations, and everyone who wishes to contribute to the improvement of the country's green spaces are participating in this event.

The event is organized by the Association of Environmental Journalists and the "Biotica" Ecological Society, with the support of Sweden, in partnership with the Office of the President of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Environment.
